Gerry joined Mike Hill in 1989 to assist in opening a Dallas office following an eighteen year career in commercial banking where he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer and CFO of a Frost Bancshares member bank. Gerry has extensive experience in the valuation of businesses and business interests for tax purposes such as purchase price allocation and estate planning for wealthy individuals, as well as in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other business purposes.
His clients have come from a variety of industries including manufacturing, real estate development, oil and gas exploration and production, casting, telecommunications, printing and professional services. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers and a Certified Business Appraiser of the Institute of Business Appraisers. He has served as President of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers and on the Society’s national Governmental Relations Committee. He has also served on the Executive Committee of the Foundation Appraisers Coalition of Texas (FACT). Gerry received his BBA from St. Mary's University and his MBA with highest honors from the University of Dallas.
